A bridge, also known as a fixed partial denture, is a dental procedure that replaces one or more missing teeth with artificial teeth. The artificial teeth are connected to the natural teeth on either side of the gap to form a bridge that fills the space. A fixed partial denture can restore the function and appearance of your teeth while also preventing the remaining teeth from shifting.

A fixed partial denture is a permanent solution that the patient cannot remove. You will need to see your dentist at least twice to get a fixed partial denture. The first visit consists of preparing the supporting teeth and taking impressions, while the second visit consists of placing and cementing the bridge on your teeth.
