RE-ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Re-root canal therapy is a procedure used to save a tooth that has previously received root canal therapy but has not healed adequately or has become infected again. This can occur for a variety of causes, including bacteria lingering in or entering the root canal, infection spreading to surrounding tissues, or a response to the filling materials.
The old root filling is removed, the canal is cleaned and disinfected, and a new root filling is installed. The treatment is normally painless and is performed under local anaesthesia. Re-root canal therapy can provide your tooth with a second chance to operate normally and last for many years. However, it is not always effective and may necessitate other treatments such as endodontic surgery or tooth extraction.
